Devin Carter, a top-ranked 2026 wide receiver from Georgia, has reset his recruitment after decommitting from Florida State on Monday. Carter is a four-star recruit and the son of former Seminole running back Thad Carter. He is considered one of the best wide receivers in the country for his class.
Carter committed to Florida State in June 2022, but he has now reopened his recruitment. He has not yet announced any other schools that he is considering.
The loss of Carter is a big blow to Florida State's 2026 recruiting class. Carter was the highest-rated recruit in the class and was expected to be a key part of the Seminoles' offense in the future.
